Linear-to-Dual-Circular Polarization Decomposition Metasurface Based on Rotated Trimming-Stub-Loaded Circular Patch

This paper presents a linear-to-dual-circular polarization metasurface decomposer, which decomposes linearly polarized (LP) planar incident wave into pair of circular (CP) waves, namely, right-handed (RHCP) and left-handed (LHCP) wave, scatters them different directions. The proposed decomposer is composed series rotated trimming stub loaded patches. two CP components are excited due to the perturbation introduced by stubs, phase gradients added RHCP LHCP realized rotating patches with angles. A 12×12 designed, fabricated, measured, −30∘ 30∘, respectively. simulated measured results agree well each other, demonstrates design.
